I have sat on the Economic Development Committee for the past three years.
I have worked with the Newberry Main Street Organization for the past two years trying to increase the city’s ability to communicate with its residents.
I have three Degrees (BA, Masters, and Specialist) from UF, and I received all of them with High Honors.
I’ve taught at Newberry High School for the past five years.
In my second year of teaching, my collegues honored me with the Teacher of the Year award.
At the beginning of my third year, I was asked to become the Chair of the English
Department.
I sponsor the Student Government Association, the Panther Press, and the Junior Class.
I coach the Archery, Golf, and Debate teams at NHS.
Before I became a teacher, I managed my family’s beef cattle and hay farm for five years.
I’m married to the most wonderful woman in the world, Lauren, and I have a beautiful daughter, Emma Jane.
